A 39-year-old Bellevue man was killed in a wrong-way motorcycle crash in Mills County, Iowa, late Friday.
Jacob Saxer was riding a motorcycle westbound in the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 34 west of Glenwood and near the Nebraska border just after 11 p.m. when he collided head-on with an eastbound Kia Niro, according to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol.
The crash was a "driver-to-driver" head-on collision, according to the report.
Saxer was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 25-year-old driver of the Kia was taken to a Bellevue hospital, according to the report.
