Names released for those involved in a fatal Highway 275 crash in Nebraska
MEADOW GROVE, Neb. (KTIV) - The names of the two Nebraskans involved in the Highway 275 crash have been released.
On Thursday, March 13, Madison County deputies identified the man and woman involved in the accident on Highway 275 on Tuesday, March 11.
The man pronounced dead at the scene of the crash has been identified as 43-year-old Joshua Wall of Elkhorn. The woman who sustained life-threatening injuries from the crash has been identified as 33-year-old Ericka McCarthy of Tilden.
As previously reported, Madison County deputies responded to an accident two miles east of Meadow Grove, Nebraska, around 7:30 a.m.
A preliminary investigation of the accident reveals the SUV, driven by Wall, reportedly crossed into the eastbound lanes, causing the truck, driven by McCarthy, to attempt an “evasive maneuver,” causing a head-on collision.
Rescue teams from Meadow Grove and Battle Creek worked to rescue McCarthy. Authorities at the time said she needed additional assistance from Norfolk Rescue.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office says with the support of the Nebraska State Patrol; they continue to investigate the incident and next of kin has been identified.
