The Best Food and Wine Festivals in Dallas and Fort Worth in Spring 2025

Events such as Savor and food and wine festivals at the Dallas Arboretum and in Fort Worth offer great eats and drinks this spring

This spring brings a whole host of food and wine festivals to the Metroplex. The best chefs in DFW will be out all around North Texas, including on the grounds at the Dallas Arboretum, in fields in Fort Worth and Arlington, on the streets of Addison, and in an extremely civilized way in Grapevine for a wine crawl.


Food & Wine Festival at the Dallas Arboretum

Date: Thursday, March 27, 2025 — Regular Admission Entry is at 7 p.m.
Cost: GA tickets are $159 and $139 for Arboretum members

This fun annual festival returns with chef chair and Dallas food legend Sharon Van Meter leading the event with On Brand Hospitality’s Adrian Verdin, and some of the city’s top chefs dishing out food. Look for bites from Catch, Terra at Eataly, Fearing’s, Encina, Goodwins, Harvest at the Masonic, Las Almas Rotas, Monarch, Nuri Steakhouse, Rye, the Saint, Taco y Vino, and more. VIP tickets, which give access to bites from the chefs at Georgie, Quarter Acre, Fond, and Knife, among others, are sold out, but those with regular admission can still sample three dozen plates and over 125 types of wine.

Dallas Food & Wine Festival

Fort Worth Food and Wine Festival

Dates: Thursday, April 3, through Sunday, April 6, 2025
Cost: Tickets, available for each event range from $65 to $229

  • April 3: Tacos + Tequila ($75 per person), where chefs and taco vendors go head-to-head by presenting attendees with their takes on the combination of tacos and tequila.
  • April 4: The Main Event ($149 per person) is where wine and whiskey will flow as 27 Cowtown chefs serve bites.
  • April 5: Rise + Dine ($65 per person), happens at midday, when 25 chefs and 35 beverage vendors serve brunch-themed foods and drinks.
  • April 5: Burgers, Brews + Blues in the evening ($95 per person) features 13 chefs slinging mini-burgers and local brewers while live bands play. Local celebrity judges will pick the best burger.
  • April 6: Ring of Fire ($95 per person) in which 22 pitmasters and chefs team up with 15 beverage vendors at a campfire for a big, old cookout — also with live music.

Dallas Margarita Fest

Date: Saturday, April 5, 2025, from noon until 6 p.m.
Cost: $20 for non-sampling and $30 for sampling tickets

Dallas is the home of the frozen margarita and margarita mile — so why not a margarita festival? Admission for this event includes the chance to sample 10 drinks (at 3.5-ounce pours) and vote for the best of the best. There will be street eats, a beer garden, and access to the Ferris wheel at Ferris Wheelers. Who could ask for anything more?

Grapevine Spring Wine Trail

Date: Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Cost: $50 per person, 21 and up only

Grapevine has designs on being a wine destination in Texas, and its third annual Wine Trail is all about getting that message out. Nine participating vintners, including Messina Hof Winery and Cross Timbers Winery, will offer samples to attendees, who will get three tastings (1-ounce pours) at each spot, plus one food item. There are several art galleries on the trail as well, and the public art trail is part of the path.

Taste Addison

Dates: Friday, April 25 to Sunday, April 27, 2025
Cost: Tickets prices vary by event, from $10 for single-day general admission to $250 for a weekend VIP pass

This festival promises “eats, beats, and artistic treats” in the city of Addison. The main event is the Chow Hall, a showcase of food stands that includes bites from Austin’s Bar-B-Que, Hawkers Asian Street Food, Loro, Sigree Indian Restaurant, and more. Expect pop-up locations for local restaurants, street food curated to include flavors from around the world, a food truck park, and a little tasting hut with free samples.

Savor

Dates: Thursday, May 1 to Sunday, May 4, 2025
Cost: Tickets are available per event and range from $195 to $550

  • May 1: The Masters of Taste Dinner ($550 per person) is where 100 people will enjoy seven courses by celebrity chefs, including Elizabeth Blau and chef Kim Canteenwalla of Michelin-recognized Crown Block, chef Antonia Lofaso, and Chopped Sweets winner chef Leen Nunn.
  • May 2: Fork & Fire Grand tasting ($295 per person), so named for its open-fire cooking stations, offers dishes from Top Chef winner Shota Nakajima, chef Stephanie Izard, and James Beard Award winner chef Kwame Onwuachi.
  • May 3: The Best of Texas Grand Tasting event ($395 per person) will feature live music from the country band Midland and food from chefs, including John Tesar of Knife, Dean Fearing of Fearing’s, Rich Vana of the Heritage Table, and Joe Riojas of Trick Rider. Wearing boots and hats is recommended.
  • May 4: Margaritas and Mariachis Brunch ($195 per person), where brunch food meets a Tex-Mex influence.

Lone Star Smokeout

Dates: Friday, May 2 to Sunday, May 4, 2025
Cost: Daily tickets start at $68; a three-day pass is $177

Good food and good music join forces at this fest. Held outside of Cowboy Stadium in Arlington, the Lone Star Smokeout is for those who like barbecue and country tunes. Pitmasters from Texas and beyond come to smoke up some meats over two days, while festival goers are invited to test out their smoking skills. The cost of food is not included in the tickets, which cover the cost of the concerts held each day. Still, organizers are working to keep food costs to a minimum so folks can try several plates.
